TV Commercials
The following three pages feature TV commercials that I've written and/or directed over the years. For a quick look, check out my commercial compilation.
Mike Scarff Subaru "Latte Stand"
This spot pokes fun at traditional car dealers by posing the question "What if you had to buy everything the way you buy a car?"
Healia.com "Asthma"
Healia Communities is a way for people to connect with others who have similar health conditions. This online video (and TV commercial) show what it's like to be "lost in a crowd" online and how Healia can help you find real people who share your issues.
Mercata "Wall Street"
Pre-dating the stock market crash of 2001, this award-winning spot introduced a new online retailer with an innovative business model.
Mercata "Anti-Auction"
Without resorting to sock puppets or gerbils flying out of cannons, "Anti-auction" made it clear exactly what Mercata's value proposition was.
Eagle Hardware (now Lowe's) "Alex Rodriguez"
Before he was a superstar for the Yankees, A-Rod played for the Seattle Mariners, who were sponsored by Eagle Hardware & Garden, the predecessor to Lowe's. I created a number of commercials with Mariners players -- all with a playful twist on the typical celebrity endorser commercial.
